You know you live in Montana when it has to warm up to make a snowman. We headed out after naps to make our first snowman of the season. We kept it small since the snow is heavy and deep, and I didn’t want to try to wrestle a one-hundred pound slippery snowball onto the main section. We used rocks for eyes, a carrot for the nose and rocks for the “teeth.” Sam laughed every time one fell out.
The snowman looked pretty fine until Melvin the Wonderdog ran past and grabbed an arm. Sam retrieved it, but Mel thought it was a big game. At the end the chilly character had both of his appendages, and, the last time I checked, had all of his teeth.

No kidding, eh?! Same here in North Idaho Panhandle. Makes the snow heavier to shovel, though.
It’s crazy. We got 5 more inches of snow last night, but it’s too cold to do anything with it. I’d like to turn on the hose and the melt the whole mess! Of course, then we’d have our own ice skating rink. Stay warm!
