It's amazing how -21 degrees F can put things into perspective. We've had a cold snap for the past few days, but today the sun came out and temps reached 11 degrees by the early afternoon. I was blessed this evening with a tremendous bounty of mature perennials from a friend of Maranna's who Continue reading the story "Running with chickens and time in the garden"

Both boys love the chickens. Sam runs around their cage causing them to scurry underneath their house, while John prefers to talk to them from the fence. The speckled one (Lilith) is the boldest of the bunch. She was the first one out the other day and is the smart one who Continue reading the story "C’mere chickens"
