It's amazing how -21 degrees F can put things into perspective. We've had a cold snap for the past few days, but today the sun came out and temps reached 11 degrees by the early afternoon. It’s not even fall, but it’s time for winter chili

  The snow last week gave me a great excuse to make a batch of my favorite chili. A friend gave me the recipe years ago, and I routinely have it during the cold months (even for breakfast!).
